• 🎤 Standup Comedy Show Starring Casey James Salengo - @ Crystal City Sports Pub - Friday, December 27, 8:00 pm

  I don’t recognize any of these comedians but Crystal City Sports Pub is a pretty bizarre spot so standup should work there. $20

• 🎧️ Silent Disco! - @ Punch Bowl Social (Ballston) - Saturday, December 28, 8:30pm

  Punchbowl does these semi-regularly. Has anyone been? Maybe I’ll scout this one out. $10

• 🎤 Rhodeside Comedy Bunker 33: Winston Hodges - @ Rhodeside Grill (Rosslyn) - Saturday, December 28, 7-9pm

  I always have an interesting time at Rhodeside. They have cocktails and good apps. I think it would be a fun place to see some standup. $12

• 🧙 Harry Potter All Day Movie Festival - @ Arlington Drafthouse (Columbia Pike) - Sunday, December 29, all day

  HP nerds rejoice. You can watch movies 5-7 (part 2) for $15 or any one movie for $8. Honestly, I dunno if the seats here are comfortable enough for 8 hours of viewing. More info here

• 🛹 Beginner Skateboard Lessons - @ Powhatan Springs Park - Sunday, December 29, 7am

  I found a really barebones FB event with a phone number and email for skate lessons. It turns out it’s a DC-based skate school. I believe you have to pay for the lessons. I would get a kick out of someone investigating this.

🍽️ Restaurant News

• 🥘 Special NYE menu at Copperwood Tavern Copperwood is doing a “NewNew Year's-inspired menu” through the end of the year. Basically looks like they’re adding lobster to every dish. If you like lobster and haven’t tried this spot, now might be your chance.
