  Scolapasta, a fast-casual Italian restaurant offering customizable pasta bowls, is set to open near the Ballston Metro station this spring. Inspired by Italian street food, the restaurant will serve homemade pasta with a variety of sauces and toppings.

• 🍔 Rooftop Recess to Bring Classic American Cuisine to Courthouse

  Rooftop Recess, a new rooftop restaurant and bar in Courthouse, will offer classic American meals in a relaxed setting when it opens in early 2025. The menu will feature expertly handcrafted cocktails, hearty dinner options like smashburgers and braised short rib, as well as a fun atmosphere for happy hour experiences. RIP Arlington Rooftop

  Wawa has opened a new location in Manassas at 8704 Sudley Road. Here’s to hoping Wawa makes it to Arlington!

• 🏟️ Kenmore Sports Field Project Faces Parking Concerns

  Plans for a new sports field complex at Kenmore Middle School in Arlington County are moving forward, but concerns about parking and traffic management are being raised by local residents and officials. The $10.1 million project includes two baseball/softball fields and two rectangular fields, all with synthetic turf, with construction set to begin in the spring of 2026. Efforts are being made to address parking issues and improve traffic flow around the new facility.
