📅 Your Weekend in Arlington

  • 🎉 94six presents NADIA w/ Kayvon - @ Darna (VA Square) - Friday, Jan. 3, 10pm

Weekly Friday experience featuring music by NADIA and Kayvon at Darna venue. Free RSVP

  • 🎨 Visual Humor Art Exhibit Opening Reception - @ Del Ray Artisans - Friday, Jan. 3, 7-9pm

This looks interesting. It’s a “lighthearted art exhibit” exploring the joy of comedy through visual art. Del Ray is a fun place to bop around so if the event stinks there’s tons to do. FREE

  • 🏟️ NoVA Sports Card Show - @ Cooperative Plaza Conference Center - Saturday, Jan. 4, 10am

Buy, sell, and trade sports cards, memorabilia, TCG, and collectibles. Anyone else trade cards?? I collect Pokemon, Basketball and Lorcana. $5 Tickets

  • 💃 Learn to Dance FREE - @ Forever Dancing Ballroom (Bailey’s Crossroads) - Saturday, Jan. 4, 12pm

Make 2025 the year you learn how to properly cut a rug. FREE

  • 🎉 Swing in the New Year - @ Rudy's Golf and Sports Bar (Alexandria) - Saturday, Jan. 4 @ 10am

Ring in 2024 at Rudy’s with a day of fun, drinks, and prizes! I LOVE Rudy’s. If you haven’t been, it’s a former Top Golf that’s been turned into a chill sports bar with tons of bays. I used to be a member, this place is great. FREE (but you’ll probably have to pay for a bay which is $28/hour per person)

  • 🥂 NOVA Singles Meetup - @ Punch Bowl Social (Ballston) - Monday, Jan 6, at 8:30pm

Mingle with other singles for a fun night of connections, games, and drinks. FREE

🍽️ Restaurant News

  • 🍜 New Chinese Dumpling & Noodle Restaurant Coming to Rosslyn

Yu Noodles, a popular DMV area chain, is set to open its eighth location in Rosslyn this spring. Co-owners promise authentic Chinese cuisine, featuring dumplings and noodles in various styles. Renovations are underway, with a potential opening date in April.

  • 🍲 Ballston Quarter food court is perfect for indecisive diners

Yesterday, my fiancé and I had a familiar problem: we couldn’t agree on what to do for dinner. So we hit Ballston Quarter food court for the first time in a while. There’s a good mix of choices but it leans heavily Korean and Asian in general (no complaints here). We had some great soup dumplings, BBQ brisket and a “K-Dog”. You can also sit down at the reliable Bar Taco or the new Jinya Ramen restaurant that looks worth checking out

K-Dog with about 5 different types of hot sauce
