šŸ“… Your Weekend in Arlington

  • šŸ³ Brunch & Beats - @ Quincy Hall, Arlington - Saturday @ 11am

I’m not crazy about Quincy Hall or brunch for that matter. But $30 for all you can eat breakfast pizza + ā€œmimosa kitā€ sounds like one of the better Arlington brunches. $30

  • šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø Yoga in the Galleries - @ Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington - Saturday @ 11am

Yoga in The MOCA would be cool. No goats though : ( $10

  • šŸŽ³ DC Christian Singles Night Out - @ Punch Bowl Social - Arlington, VA - Saturday @ 7-9pm

Look, the dating events always get the most clicks. This is for the god-fearing, single ladies out there who love bowling. $15

  • šŸ‘» Ghost Bar Launch - @ Clarendon Ballroom- Saturday @ 9pm-late

I haven’t been to Ballroom since the remodel but it always looks poppin’. They’re opening some sort of new bar and giving away merch and drinks and stuff. Could be fun, it’s free.

  • šŸŖ€ Arlington YoYo Club - @ Arlington Central Library - Sunday @ 1-4pm

I am so interested in this. It’s in partnership with the ā€œDMV Throwersā€. Does anyone YoYo anymore?

šŸˆšŸ· The Commanders Game (Saturday @ 8PM)

The Washington Football Team hasn’t won a playoff game since I was in elementary school. I’m pumped to watch post-season JD again. Here are my picks for where to watch in ARL:

  • First Down Sports Bar (Ballston) I watched some NFL games here last sunday and it’s my favorite Arlington Sports Bar now. Zero frills, fast service, a zillion TVs and solid wings. This is my top choice and where I’ll be watching on Saturday. On Sunday the bar filled with Philly fans 20 minutes before their game. I would err on side of caution and get there 45 minutes early to grab a table.

  • Astro Beer Hall (Shirlington) Astro Beer hall has lots of TVs, bar options and solid bartenders. The last ā€˜Manders game we watched here they had $5 smashburgers and chicken sandwiches + fries. Good food and good deal. Bartenders are also solid here.

  • on the big screen at Dudley’s (Shirlington) Dudley’s is a duel threat because they have a giant screen downstairs and a solid rooftop. This place will be very crowded.

  • on the silver screen at Arlington Drafthouse I always plug Arlington Drafthouse in here because I think it has a lot of character. It would be cool to watch the Commies on a movie theater screen and there’s a bar here. I can’t imagine this will be very crowded

  • O’sullivan’s (Clarendon) This is my Clarendon pick for watching sports. It gets packed which can be fun or annoying. But importantly there’s multiple places to watch the game so if you get tired of the vibe at the front bar you can move to the projector in the back or vice versa.

  • Quinn’s on the Corner (Rossyln) This was my favorite bar right out of college. The staff and the food is goated. I watched many a Nats World Series game here. This is going to be packed so you may be standing for the game. But they usually do free jello shots after scores so it’ll be worth it.
